While I don't pretend that the Democrats have a monopoly on hypocrisy, it certainly seems that the Left has a more difficult time avoiding it. Some of the most vivid images of the former Soviet Union was Party leaders dining on fine caviar, while workers in the Ukraine were allowed to starve to death. Premiers toasting with fine wine, while citizens were being admitted to hospitals for drinking brake fluid. These pictures of Communism captured the unachievable nature of a classless society.

It seems that Global Warming is an issue that the Democrats think they can win on, and they have been pushing it pretty hard.
Unfortunately, their solution to Global Warming is conservation, and conservation requires sacrifice. Real environmental sacrifices are completely foreign to a group of politicians who have become accustomed to riding around in limousines and private jets. It's easy enough to wag their fingers at the soccer moms and NASCAR dads, who prefer larger vehicles to haul the kids and dry wall, but when it comes to getting themselves to a speaking engagement, they like the limo warmed up, and the A/C on high. Notice the glaring absence of the GMC Envoy. While I'm aware that it is a pretty straightforward conversion, I highly doubt that Barack pulled into the garage, rolled up his sleeves, and started wrenching on his Envoy. The more likely scenario, is that his campaign manager told a big fib, and is not accustomed to being fact checked, by an unhostile press, swooning over the prospect of a Democrat President, who looks like an African American.
This is one lazy hit piece. You don't even have a picture of Obama in or near the Envoy in question; you have a photoshop job that a toddler could have done. You don't even have a damning quote from Obama; you have his campaign manager being a weasel.
Man, that's weak.
I never intended the picture to be confused with an actual photo. In fact, it was purposely photo-shopped sloppily, for comedic effect. Perhaps you just didn't find anything even remotely comedic on this topic. I am quite certain that most Democrats, who are pinning presidential hopes on Obama, wouldn't.
Secondly, the quote came directly from Obama's press office, which means that it is as attributable to Obama, as much as anything Tony Snow says, is attributable to the President.
Even more damaging, his press office didn't just dispute the story, they demanded a retraction from the TV news station for calling Obama a hypocrite. Which runs directly counter to the image Obama's people have been desperately trying to paint, of a straightforward honest guy, who rises above politics.
For those of you who didn't bother to follow the links, here is that "retraction."
